Saturated fats are found in meat, lard, shortening, palm oil, coconut oil, butter, cheese and whole milk. Choose lean cuts of meat and avoid foods high in saturated fats. 

  • If the % daily value is ≤ 5% this means the amount of saturated fat in a product is a little. 

  • If the % daily value is ≥ 15%, this means the amount of saturated fat in a product is a lot.
